grant, Uliza's ceo and co-founder, began thinking about how to make phones better information portals for people who speak local languages while working in Sierra Leone. This idea eventually became Uliza when he met Maity and Janeth at Tufts university.
today, Uliza provides human-assisted natural language processing for organizations that speak their people's language. We transcribe, translate, and answer questions in local african and asian languages, and can turn-around tasks in as quick as 5-minutes. We use the work of crowds and machine learning tools to build automated natural language processing in local languages.
